me against the world

me against the world” reads the wordage, written in relatively polite script, at the top of  a picture of Tupac Shakur, he with a bandana wrapped around his head and flashing both middle finders at the camera, on a t-shirt worn by a young man sitting a table near me at a Starbucks in Zhongguancun, him otherwise bedecked with a huge headset, glasses, baseball hat, red shorts, and blue shoes, with an empty frappuccino container on the table as he talks with someone on his cellphone.

Starbucks, Cold Stone, and Raggedy Ann

Taken at Solana this past weekend.

Below is a close-up of Raggedy Ann. Okay, I’m aware of the Kosupure Culture In Japan, and know that she’s trying to emulate something that I cannot fathom. The thing is that she ain’t a Japanese exchange student… she’s a Chinese national who is probably well into her twenties. The wife thinks that she was dressing this way for attention, and she definitely was getting (stares and that sort of thing). Finally, my wife and I are both hopeful that this girl is wearing a wig.
