Three photographs I took during my first open water scuba dive.
Nope, I don’t know the names of these fishy fishy fishy fish.
If you do, please leave info in the comments.
Photos once again taken with the Nikon Coolpix AW120. Lightroom was used for developing the shoots, which included using the auto white balance.
Adding a bit of color to compensate for the last two posts. Today I did my first two open-water dives. It has been an amazing experience. Still getting my qualification and going through proficiencies, but also able to just slow down and look in wonder at what is around me.
This is a detail from a larger shot taken with my AW120 camera, and developed using Lightroom 5.6 software. I set the white balance automatically using Lightroom.
Here’s one of the first pictures taken with my new Nikon Coolpix AW120. It is, without a doubt one of the ugliest cameras that I’ve ever used (the image on the link is the front of the camera, folks), but it does seem to do an extremely good job taking photos in and underwater. We’ll be testing the underwater part more thoroughly in a few days when we start work on our PADI SCUBA ceritification.
For the next 12 days, the wife and I will be in Hawai’i. Here is a shot I took last night from our room at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach.
