Two from Tiananmen Square

I took these two photographs during my first trip to Tiananmen Square (and to China) in March of 2006. I took them back-to-back, and about three minutes apart. Both were shot with my old D50 and the 300 mm which I still use.

Most of the sites that foreigners visit are also extremely popular tourist destinations for Chinese nationals. People from more rural areas usually come by bus or train to see the marvels of this capital city.

    1. Thanks. A very good idea.

I really do want to get out to the countryside more and learn about the rest of the country. I do wish that my Chinese was better than it is. I’ve got a longstanding goal of traveling home with some of the farmers that come with horse and wagon to sell their goods.
